PBS has put together this very interesting mini-documentary about the state of music, downloading and where the industry is going and it’s a great look into role in the music world as a blog. This video explores internet culture and it’s changing place in music and music videos. Music reviews and music promotion have changed dramatically over the past few years which is alleviating the need for some artists to use traditional Major Labels.
Skrillex has successfully used the techniques mentioned in the previous video and used his own resources to make an independent label, use blogs, and release free music to increase grow his audience to new levels. Read more after the Jump.
Curious Josh was recently interviewed for TV a couple nights ago. Shedding light on an often misunderstood subculture, Josh did a great job at explaining to lay-folk about the radical self-expression and radical acceptance found at Burning Man events and the ticket situation which has many in the burner community scratching their heads.
