The Official Coachella Lineup Announced!
Since im also going to EDC, this is who i want to see that are non electronic acts: The Black Keys, frank ocean, neon Indian, wolf gang, the shins, radiohead, mike snow, feist, kaiser chiefs, childish gambino, dr dre, snoop dogg, Beirut, and AT THE DRIVE IN!
Last Thursday was absolutely bonkers! A huge thank you to all our fans that came out to party with us and our fam over at GDD. We had an amazing lineup filled with the freshest secret guests (in the video below) and a plethora of amazing DJ’s and Producers who just came out to party including Dada Life, AC Slater, The Captain, Betatraxx, and more!

Many of our readers, spread across the country (and some throughout the world), think of us as a news and information source. And it’s true we are definitely fulfilling that role, along with plenty of other blogs on the net. But we began as an underground party series, known for it’s off the walls production on really small budgets. As the attendance at the parties grew, so too did our production value, gaining us some legit notoriety in the LA underground scene for the stages and light set ups we would throw together. As time passed and several mishaps at big massives occurred, LA took a very stern approach towards throwing underground EDM events, severely restricting the permitting process and making it almost impossible to legally throw warehouse parties in the city. Although these restrictions could have spelled the end for our parties, we decided (while still throwing parties in big venues like the echoplex and smaller events like Versus) to focus our event production efforts towards a different cause.
Over the past year, we’ve spent time producing experiential marketing events for video game companies around the west coast including S2 Games, Alienware Computers, and Justin.TV in markets like Seattle and Los Angeles. These events consisted of combining all the interactive production elements that made our warehouse parties so much fun with an integrative brand experience in which attendees could immerse themselves. Throw in some big name DJ’s like Designer Drugs and NASA among others, and what you have are EDM based marketing events. This coming Saturday, we are proud, excited, and frankly can’t fucking wait, to put together our biggest event of this sort to date.
Minecraft is simply put… a phenomenon. An independent online game, created by Markus “Notch” Persson in 2009, Minecraft involves creative construction in a world consisting of cubical blocks that represent everything from water to fire to monsters. The game has received a plethora of accolades and boasts a rapidly growing fan-base of several million players, including one particularly famous enthusiast (we’ll give you a hint… he’s playing the party). This coming weekend, Notch’s company Mojang will be holding the first annual Minecon, a convention dedicated to all things Minecraft.
And now this is where we come full circle. DANCEiSM will be producing the official Minecon After-party titled “Into the Nether” at the legendary XS nightclub in Las Vegas. Minecraft enthusiast and EDM sensation, Deadmau5, will be headlining the festivities, with a closing set by Sander Kleinenberg and an opening set by our friend and Control @ The Avalon resident, Mr. White.

Though now splitting her time between Miami and Brooklyn, XLR8R’s “artist to watch” Jubilee will always be Brooklyn’s bass sweetheart. Known for her rambunctious combination of upfront bass music, UK house, and tropical flavors, she has become a surefire remedy for ailing dancefloors around the globe.
Co-opting her name from the X-Men character who shot fireworks out of her hands, Jubilee works similar magic when she steps into the DJ booth. But she’s also simply Jess, the one-time South Florida raver who grew up obsessively listening to Miami bass on the radio and dancing the night away at underground breaks parties. After making the move to NYC, she quickly infiltrated the DJ circuit and began turning heads with her knowledge of all things bass.
Her XLR8R Podcast is one my personal favorites and should definitely be filling your airtime for an hour or so.
