You may have snatched up some original CDROMism tracks on Danceism in the past, and now we have a lovely 47 minute Deep House mix tape to add to your rotation of Summertime cruising playlists. This mix tape explores all the ranges of emotions you feel on any given Summer day. The excitement of waking up to a blue sky, the urgency to get to the beach or the park, the daze of sipping on a cold beer while the sun’s rays beat down on you, it’s all captured perfectly by this track list. Even the album work (also done by CDROMism aka Seth Payares) makes you feel the special fuzzy feeling that comes with spending the day in the sun.
Sadly, this young and talented producer passed away suddenly on Saturday. The creative community in Los Angeles has lost an extremely productive and positive member. Seth was a friend and supporter of all collaborative arts, and was an inspiration to everybody he came into contact with. He was thoughtful, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was never quick to judge and was always eager to learn about new people, and make new friends in the process. He seemed to always be on a never-ending quest to see how he could help someone accomplish a goal in the arts, whether visual, audio or otherwise. I had slated this mix tape to be posted at the end of the week, but I think we all need some feel good vibes ASAP in his honor. Seth put together these songs in an attempt to raise the spirits of the listener, and make them head outside and do something great. So turn this up, face the sunshine, and embrace the day that was gifted to you. Life is precious, guys, go make the most of yours.
