Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland (who are apparently not called Hype Williams anymore) have released a free mixtape (click to DL) in advance of the release of their third LP, Black is Beautiful. The mixtape is called The Attitude Era; you can find the tracklist over at Tiny Mix Tapes in case you’re like me and need a little order. Dean and Inga’s music has always been pretty contextual for me; these are sounds filtered through the experience of being in places in the real world. Listen to how “white flight refix, ” both atmospheric and mundane, glides into the intimate and the human with “y2j.”
