PBS has put together this very interesting mini-documentary about the state of music, downloading and where the industry is going and it’s a great look into role in the music world as a blog. This video explores internet culture and it’s changing place in music and music videos. Music reviews and music promotion have changed dramatically over the past few years which is alleviating the need for some artists to use traditional Major Labels.

Skrillex has successfully used the techniques mentioned in the previous video and used his own resources to make an independent label, use blogs, and release free music to increase grow his audience to new levels. Read more after the Jump.

Recent Mothership tour mates, Sazon Booya has just released their own version of their mini docu-tour.  The duo are successful in their own right. One is the Producer/director of the famous Electro Wars and the previous Skrillex video. Mr. vega is the founder of Electron music powerhouse label rot10musik. These are proper examples of succeeding without Major Labels and pioneering the Evolution of Music.
