This sounds like something that would play in the beginning of an 80′s teen comedy film. Cant you see it? Slightly alternative girl from the suburbs is getting ready in her bedroom, frustrated with every mismatched combo she comes up with. Maybe her pesky little brother tries to peak in–ever notice they do that in movies? Why are younger brothers painted as being so creepy, huh? Asking seriously, I’m an only child. But for real, as far as chillwave goes, this track is the tops and I just want to dance around in my leg warmers and scrunchies to this track. No little brothers allowed!
Major Lazer- Original Don (Flosstradomus Remix)
This remix is TOO FUCKING SEXY. Seriously. If you have any love for the original Original Don but still have a deep love for hip hop and fly bitches… this remix is for you. Swag me the fuck out, if your pants dont drop at that trap-heavy drop, then get the fuck away from me.
Citizens! – True Romance (Gigamesh Remix)
Mmmm such a delicious indie synth pop remix. I recommend putting this track on your iPod and going for a run in your underoos around the neighborhood. You might get arrested, and perhaps you COULD just go for a run… in clothing (ew)… but let’s be real, this is an undies track. Maybe this could be a nice icebreaker in how to meet that girl next door? You know, the one who cant seem to figure out how to work her blinds (thank you GOD).
Kavinsky – Night call (Marquetz Remix)
Wow. The original Night Call track is such a longing, romantic… kinda creepy track, so I was a bit taken aback when I heard this remix and couldn’t sit the fuck down because I was bouncing around so damn much! Stalker or no stalker, this remix is too much fun, although I have the best image of some brooding man wallpapering his bathroom with photos of the same girl who’s dancing around her apartment, unaware she’s being photographed. *le sigh* SO ROMANTIC.
Body Language – Social Studies (Plastic Plates Remix)
As a basic white girl, I am innately drawn to clapping in dance tracks. Like, I cant help it… like a moth to the flame, I just want to side step while I clap (on OR off beat.. I dont know! Sometimes I want to stand out… SHUT UP!). In all seriousness, this remix is fucking beautiful and makes me wish it was Summer. Refreshing like a cold lemon ice, yadig?
